            In the name of God Amen I Moses John of the pish of Lanvrechva in ye County of Monmouth being sick in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory praise be therefore given to Almighty God do make and ordaine this my pr’sent last will and Testament in maner and forme following (that is to say) first and principally I commend my soul into ye hands of Almighty God hopeing throu ye merits death and passion of my savior Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins, and inherit everlasting life, and my body I commit to ye earth to be decently buried at ye discretion of my executors here after named and as touching the disposition of all such temporal estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I give and dispose thereof as followeth.

 

First I will that my debts and funerall charges shall be paid and discharged.

Itt         I give and bequeath unto ye children of Richard Harry my brother law all my sheep that I have with David John Nicolas and all my sheep in Bedwellty to be equally divided between them.

It          I give and bequeath unto my nephew William Benjamin one cow and five sheep.

It          I give and bequeath unto my nephew Benjamin ye son of Benjamin John one cow and five sheep.

It          I give and bequeath unto my nees Elizabeth Benjamin one pound.

It          I give and bequeath unto my nees Mary Benjamin one pound.

It          I give and bequeath unto Margarett Lawrence one cow that I have with Charles Lawrence of Langattock and one canvas and one fine sheet and pilowber.

It          I give and bequeath unto ye wife of Lawrence Thomas one table cloth.

It          I give and bequeath unto Barbara Lawrence one sheep and that she is to take her choice of all my sheep att Lanvrechva.

Itt         I give and bequeath unto my nephew ye son of Ester John my sister twenty shilling.

 

All rest and residue of my personall estate, goods and chattles whatsoever I do give and bequeath unto my loveing nephew John Samuel and my loveing nees Margery Richard to be my full and sole executors of this my last will and testament.

And I desire that my body may be buried in Lanvihangel Church and I do hereby revoke, disanual and make void all former wills and testaments by me heretofore made in witnes whereof I ye said Moses John to this my last will and testament do set my hand and seal ye sixth day of February in ye year of our Lord 1705/6.   The marke of Moses (X) John
