            In the name of God amen the twelvth daie of May in the yere of o’r Lord god accordinge to the computacon of the Churche of England one thousand six hundred fortie and five, and in the yere of the raigne of our sovraigne Lord kinge Charles that nowe is of England & the one and twentie th, I Moore Jones of Campston wth in the pishe of Grossemont and dioce of Landaph, being (god be praised) of pfect memorie, doe make and ordayne this my p’t Testament contayning herein my last will in manner & forme followinge. That is to saie.  First I comend my soule into the hands of Allmightie god my onlie maker & redeemer hopinge assuredlie through the onlie meritts of Jesus Christ my saviour to made ptaker of lief everlastinge & my bodie to be buried in xpian buriall wth in the pish churche of Lannarth.  Item I give & bequeath towarde the repacon of the Cathedrall Church of Landaph xii d and towards the repacon of the said pishe churche of Lannarth xxs and towards the repacon of the pishe churche of Grossemont five shillings.  Item I give and bequeath to the now viccar of Grossemont afore said for my forgotten teithes five shillings.  Item I give and bequeath to my deere wief Anne two of best oxen and two of my beast oxen, wth soe much ymplements of husbandrie as belongeth to fower oxen, two milch kyne, two heyffers, one mare, two younge beasts of three yeres old two younge beasts of two yeres old two yerelings two calfs, all such howshold stuff & ymplements of howshold wch late were John Williams gent & Blanch his wief, my decessed father in lawe & mother in lawe,  ten bushells of wheate and ten bushells of mung corne (out of the corne & grayne nowe beinge in my barne) twentie bushells more of wheate ten bushells of mung corne, and fortie bushells of oates at harvest next after my decesse, three hoggs, one breedinge sowe, three shouts and all my howshold pvicon wch I shall be owner of at the tyme of my decesse, other then suche pte thereof as shalbe eppended or bestowd upon my fun’all.  Item I give & bequeath to my deere neece Wenefred Jones one of the daughters of my deere brother Sr Phillip Jones knight my best bedd wth all the furniture belonginge to the same.  Item I give & bequeath unto my deere neece Susan Jones daughter of my decessed brother George Jones gent, one other of my best bedds wth all his furniture and app’ten’ces, the rest and residue of all and singular my goods cattles howshold stuff corne and grayne whatsoever herein bfore not bequeathed (one bedd wth thapp’tences one heiffer & one brasse pott excepted)I wholie give and bequeath unto my said deere brother Sr Phillipp Jones for & towards the payment of my debts.  And in case my said goods & cattles before menconed & lymitted for the payment of my said debts will not extend to make full satisfaccon thereof then my further will and mynde is and I doe hereby give devise & bequeath unto & to the use & behooff of my said deere brother Sr Phillipp Jones and his heires forever for the further augmentacon of the payment of all my debts all and singuler my lands & tenem’ts wth thapp’tences nowe in the possession of one Richard John als Jenn, togearther wth the re’con thereof, scituat wth in the pishe of grossemont afore said & wch I heretofore had and p’chased unto mee & to my heires forever amongst other lands & tenements of my brother in lawe William Kemeys Esquire.  Item I give and devise unto my said deere neece Wenefred Jones for & towards her p’ferm’t in mariage all & singular my mesuages barnes buildings gardens orchards lands & tenements wth the app’tennces nowe in the possession of one Thomas Saunders, togeather wth the rev’con & remaynder thereof, scituat wth in the fore said pish of grossemont in the said Countie by meares & bounders there knowne & wch I likewise heretofore had & purchased unto mee and to my heires forever of my said brother in lawe William Kemeys & of one Robert Kempt gent to have and to hold the said mesuags barnes buildings gardens orchards & tenements lastly menconed & the rev’con & remaynder thereof wth thapp’tennces unto & to the use & behooff of the said Wenefrid Jones & her heires forever.  Item I give & bequeath unto my said deere brother Sr Phe Jones aswell all & singular my mesuage or tenement outhowses gardens orchards lands & tenem’ts wth thapp’tenncs nowe in the possession of one Will’m Prichard and alsoe all those two pcells of lands wth thapp’tenncs comonly called or nowe knowne by the name or names of Cay Vallenwyth & the greate close, all scituat wth in the fore said pishe of grossemont in the said countie by meares & bounders there knowne & wch I likewise had & p’chased unto mee & to my heires forever of my said brother William Kemeis, and alsoe all that pcell of land wth thapp’tenncs called the Gryigg lyinge in the said pishe of grossemont & wch I p’chased unto mee & to my heires forever of one William James gent decessed to have & to hold the said mesuags or tenement outhowses gardens lands & tenements lastly menconed wth thapp’tenncs unto & to the use of the said Sr Phe Jones and his heires  forever upon condicon & to the intent & p‘pose onlie that the said Sr Phe Jones his heires executors & assignes shall & will paie or cause to be paide unto the said Susan Jones for & towards her p’ferment aswell the sume of two hundred pownds of current money of England at or before thend of twelve yeres next ensuinge the daie of my decesse and also the sume of tenn pownds of like money yerelie for & duringe the said twelve yeres at & upon  ei’re the feast daie of the purificacon of the blessed Lady the virgen Mary & Sct Michell tharchangell by even porcons the first payment thereof to comence & begin at suche of the said feasts as shall first and next happen to come & be next after my decesse provided nevertheles & my further will & true meaninge is that if either the said sume of tenn pownds or the said sume of two hundred pownds or any pte thereof shall happen to be unpaide in pte or in the whole by the space of one moneth next after any of the said feasts or tymes of paym’t in wch it ought to be paide as aforesaid (beinge demanded) that then my will & true meaninge is and I do hereby give devise & bequeath the said mesuage or tenement outhowses gardens lands & tenem’ts lastlie menconed & ei’re pte & pcell thereof wth thapp’tenncs unto & to the use & behooff of the said Susan Jones & her heires forever.  Item I give devise and bequeath unto & to the use & behooff of my said deere brother Sr Phillip Jones & his heires forever, aswell all & singular my mesuage howses backsides curtilladgs buildings gardens orchards lands tenem’ts rents rev’cons & hereditm’ts whatsoever with their app’tenncs wch I have or ought to have aswell in possession rev’con or otherwise wth in the towne and pishees of monmoth & dixton in the said Countie of Monmoth as alsoe all that my messuge or manscion howse called the Lay wth all & singular outhowses lands & tenem’ts wth thapp’tenncs thereunto belonginge scituat & lyinge wth in the pishe of Geney Rue in the countie of Hereffd togeather alsoe wth all & singular my mesuges howses lands tenem’ts & rents rev’cons & hereditam’ts whatsoev’ wth thapp’tenncs scituat & lyinge wth in the pishe of Newland in the countie of Glocester.  Item I give and bequeath unto my deere Aunt Dame Elizabeth Jones of dingestowe widowe & to my said deere brother Sr Phe Jones & to my deere sister in lawe Dame Elizabeth Jones his wiefe, & to my said deere wief Anne and to my brother in lawe John Morgan Esquire, & to my deere sister his wief & to my brother in lawe John Nurse gent & to my deere sister his wief, & to my deere brothers John Jones, Henry Jones & William Jones gent & to the said Wenefrid Jones & Susan Jones, uidelt to ei’re one of them one gold ringe of the value of ten shillings a peece rep’sentinge deaths heads.  Item whereas my said wief Anne in consideracon of her kinde usage & of the beneffitt wch shee is to have by force of this my last will have faithfullie p’mised to paie & discharge all suche debts as nowe are by mee owinge to one John Prichard of grossemont aforesaid beinge formerlie the debt of my said decessed father in lawe John Will’ms gent, therefore I doe hereby give & bequeath unto my said deere wief Anne Jones all such leasehold lands & tenem’ts wch I nowe hold under John Scudamore Esquire, Humfrey Scudamore, Phe Scudamore & Martin Scudamore gent, scituat in the countie of Hereffd & nowe called the Baylie, to have & to hold unto & to the use of my said wief Anne for & duringe all the terme of yeres wch I have therein & yet unexpired shee the said Anne seeinge & discharging my exectos herein after named of and from the said debts lastlie menconed and of & from all the rents wch are or shalbe due out of or the said leasehold lands.  Item I give & bequeath unto my maide servant Sara Hailes the fore said bed wth thapp’tenncs heiffer & brasse pott before excepted.  Item my will is that as for the rest of my servants, that my executo’s shall satisfie them accordinge to their degrees, the rest & residue of all and singular my goods cattles chattells debts howshold stuff and ymplements of howshold whatsoever moveable & unmoveable herein afore not bequeathed (after my debts & legacies paide & my funerall expencecs discharged I wholie give & bequeath unto my said deere brother Sr Phillipp Jones, whom I doe hereby make noiat and appointe to be my sole executor of this my last will & testament.  In wittnes whereof I have hereunto put my hande & seale the daie moneth and yere first above written.
