In the Name of God Amen.
I Samuel Madley of the Parish of Landogo in the County of Monmouth, Waterman, being Sick and Weak in Body but of Sound and Disposing Mind, Memory and Understanding do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say).
I will and direct that my just Debts, Funeral Expenses and the change of proving this my Will be in the first place paid and discharged and after payment thereof I give Devise and bequeath to my Dear Wife Elizabeth Madley all my Estate and Effects of what nature or kind soever and wheresoever. To hold to her, her Heirs, Executors, Administrators or Assignes for ever.
In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my Hand and Seal this Nineteenth day of November in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Six.

On the twenty ninth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Seventy, Letters of Administration (with the last Will and Testament annexed) of all and singular the Goods and Chattles and Credits of Samuel Madley late of Landogo deceased was granted and committed to Elizabeth Madley Widow and Relict and Universal Legatee named in the within written Will, she having being first by virtue of a Commission sworn duly to administer / the said Testator having appointed no Executor.
