Diocese of Llandaff.In the goods of Mr Jeremiah Luff deceased

In the Consistory Court.

 

Appeared Personally Oliver Luff of the Parish of St Nicholas in the City of Bristol and County of Somerset and Mary Parry of the Parish of Trelleck in the County of Monmouth Executor

Executors-named in the last Will and Testament of the said Jeremiah Luff late of Trellecks Grange in the County of Monmouth Timber Merchant deceased who died on the eighteenth day of December 1835 and made Oath that the Estate and Effects of the said deceased for and in respect of which a Probate of the said will is to be granted.exclusive of what the said deceased may have been possessed of our entitled to as a trustee for any other person or persons, and not beneficially but including the leasehold estate and estates for bears either absolute or determinable on a life or lives and without deducting any thing on account of the debts due and owing from the said deceased,are under the value of three thousand pounds to the best of this deponent’s knowledge, information and belief.

       This is the last Will and Testament of me Jeremiah Luff of Trellecks Grange in the County of Monmouth Timber Merchant.I give and bequeath unto my son Oliver Luff and to my daughter Mary Parry All my Real and Personal Estate and Effects of what nature and kind soever.To hold to them their Executors and Administrators.In Trust to apply the produce thereof to the maintenance and support of my Wife during her natural life.And  after her decease to divide the remainder of such produce equally among themselves and their brother Benjamin and sister Anne.I give and bequeath unto my son Oliver Luff all those Copyhold lands and premises belonging to me situated in the Parrish of Mitchell Troy in the County  aforesaid. To hold to him and his assigns subject nevertheless to the payment of there out of the sum of twenty pounds each to his sisters Mary and Anne and to his brother Benjamin within twelve months after the decease of my said wife.I also give and bequeath to my said son Oliver Luff all those two dwelling houses lands and premises situated at Whitebrook in the county aforesaid now in the occupation of James Robbins and Mary Hughes to hold to him and his assigns. I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Parry all that dwelling house, lands and premises called Miller’s House situated in Trelleck’s grange aforesaid but also all that piece or parcel of land situated in Trelleck’s Grange aforesaid called Jack Harris’s Patch to hold to her for her natural life and after her decease to hold the same to her daughter Hannah and her assigns.I give and bequeath to my son Benjamin Luff all that leasehold dwelling house garden and orchard wherein I now reside to hold to him for his natural life(if my estate therein should so long continue) and after his decease to hold the same to my daughter Anne and her assigns.I also give and bequeath to my said son Benjamin all that dwelling house Smith’s Shop Garden and premises situated in Trelleck’s Grange aforesaid now in the occupation of Robert Hopkins to hold to him and his assigns.I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Williams all that dwelling house and premises situate in Trellecks Grange aforesaid called the Vine Tree now in the occupation of William Young.To hold to her for her natural life and after her decease to such of her children as shall be then living in equal proportions.I also give and bequeath to my said daugter Ann Williams all that dwelling house three gardens and premises called the New House situate in Trelleck’s grange aforesaid now in the occupation of James Williams as tenant thereof.To hold to her for her natural life and after her decease to such of her children as shall be then living in equal proportions.I give and bequeath to each of my grandchildren as shall be living  at the decease of my said wife. The sum of ten pounds to be paid in six months after her death.All the rest residue and remainder of my real and personal estate and effects I give and bequeath(after the decease of my said wife) to my said four children Oliver,Mary,Ann and Benjamin in equal proportions and to their respective Executors and Administrators. And I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said son Oliver and my daughter Mary Executor and Executrix of this my will and hereby revoking all former wills by me made do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament.In witness thereof I have herein set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty five.

 

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator Jeremiah Luff as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who are in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have herein set out named as witnesses.(The whole contents of the will were read over to the Testator in his own hearing before the same was signed by him)
