This is the last will and testament of me Ann Lloyd of the parish of Llandenny in the County of Monmouth, widow. I give and bequeath all and singular my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever unto Joseph Frost of the said parish of Llandenny in the said County of Monmouth. farmer, and John Prichard of the Pergoed in the parish of Llandenny aforesaid, farmer upon trust as soon as conveniently may be after my decease to convert into money all such parts thereof as shall be saleable and to collect and get in all such parts thereof as shall not be in their nature saleable to stand possessed of the neil monies to arise and be produced by such conversion and to be so collected and got in respectively upon the trusts hereinafter declared of and concerning the same. And I give and devise unto the said Joseph Frost and John Prichard and their heirs all that messuage or tenement farm lands and hereditaments situate in the said parish of Llandenny and the hamlet of Gwehelog in the said County of Monmouth called Kefntilla now in the occupation of Thomas Tippins as tenant thereof and also all that messuage or tenement farm lands and hereditaments situate in the said hamlet of Gwehelog and parish of Llangeview in the County of Monmouth aforesaid called Llanolway now in the occupation of Edwin James as tenant thereof, and also all that messuage or tenement with the garden, several parcels of land and appurtenances thereto adjoining and belonging situate in and near the village of Llandenny in the said County of Monmouth now in the occupation of Mr James Langley. And also all other my real estate whatsoever and wheresoever situate to hold unto the said Joseph Frost and John Prichard their heirs and assigns for ever upon trust that they the said Joseph Frost and John Prichard or the survivor of them or the heirs of such survivor do and shall as soon as conveniently may be after my decease make sale and absolutely of the same with their rights members and appurtenances and the inheritance thereof in fee simple either by public auction or private contract or partly in one way and partly in the other and either together or in parcels and generally in such manner and under and subject to such special conditions or stipulations as to title or otherwise as they or he shall think fit (with full power for them or him to buy in the same or any part thereof at any public auction or wholly to rescind or partially to alter and vary the terms of any contract for sale at their or his sole and uncontrolled discretion) and do and shall convey and assure the same unto the purchaser or respective purchasers thereof and his, her or their heirs or assigns or otherwise as he. she or they respectively may direct and do and shall apply the purchase monies to arise and be produced from or by such sale or sales aforesaid and also the nett amount of my said personal estate so bequeath to the said Joseph Frost and John Prichard as aforesaid in manner following (that is to say) First in payment of all costs, charges and expenses attending or in anywise relating to such sale or sales or the execution and performance of the trusts hereby declared. Secondly in discharge of the principal sum of four thousand seven hundred pounds due from me on mortgage of all my real estates herein before described and all interest and costs (if any) as may be then due in respect thereof. Thirdly in payment of all other my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses. Fourthly in paying to John Cunvin of the parish of Llanwenarth in the said County of Monmouth. yeoman, Ann Cunvin of the said parish of Llanwenarth, spinster, and my cousin Magdalen Morgan of the town of Usk, widow, the sum of nineteen pounds nineteen shillings each and to my brother William Higley the sum of ten pounds. And flfthly in dividing the clear residue or surplus (if any) of the said purchase monies and nell amount of my said personal estate unto and equally between all and every my nephews and nieces and great nephews and great nieces hereinafter named who shall be living at the time of my decease (that is to say) Henry James.

Edwin James, Angelina James, Sabina Phillips, George Price, Henrietta Herbert, Jane Herbert, Ann Herbert, Arabella Herbert and James Herbert (which said Henrietta Herbert, Jane Herbert, Ann Herbert, Arabella Herbert and James Herbert are the five children of my niece Arabella Herbert late of the said parish of Llandenny deceased) and the issue of such of them as shall be then dead leaving lawful issue but such issue to take (and if more than one in equal parts or shares between or amongst them) such part or share only as his, her or their father or mother as the case may be would have taken or been entitled to if living at the time of my decease. Provided always and I do hereby declare my will to be that the receipt or receipts in writing of the trustees or trustee for the time being of this my will shall be a good and effectual release and discharge for all and singular the monies which shall come to their or his hands by virtue of or under this my will or any of the trusts powers or authorities herein declared or contained or for so much of such monies as in such receipt or receipts respectively shall be acknowledged to be received And that the person or persons paying such monies and taking such receipt or receipts for the same as aforesaid shall not afterwards be obliged to see to the application or be in anywise answerable or accountable for the loses. misapplication or non application thereof or of any part thereof. And it is my that the said Joseph Frost and John Prichard and their heirs, executors and administrators shall be charged and chargeable only for such monies as they respectively shall actually receive by virtue of this my will or of any of the trusts powers or authorities aforesaid notwithstanding his, their or any of their signing or joining in any receipt or receipts for the sake of conformity And that each of them shall be answerable for himself and his own acts and wilful

defaults only And that they or any of them shall not be answerable for any Bank. Banker. Broker or any other person in which or in whose hands all or any of the said trust monies shall or may be deposited nor any other misfortune, loss or damage which shall or may happen in or about the execution or the exercise of the aforesaid trusts or powers or any of them or in relation thereto except the same shall happen by or through their own gross willful default respectively And that it shall and may be lawful to and for the trustees aforesaid and their heirs, executors and administrators to retain to and reimburse themselves respectively and to allow to their respective co trustee all costs, charges, damages and expenses whatsoever which they respectively shall or may sustain, suffer, expend or disburse in or about the execution of the aforesaid trusts or powers or any of them or in relation thereto And lastly I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint the said Joseph Frost and John Prichard executors of this my will and hereby revoking all former and other wills by me at any time heretofore made I declare this to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I the said Ann Lloyd the testatrix have to the two first sheets of this my will and testament the whole whereof is contained in three sheets of paper subscribed my name and to this third and last sheet set my hand and seal the twelvth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one. A business of proving the last will and testament of Ann Lloyd late of the Parish of Landenny in the County of Monmouth and Diocese of Llandaff, widow, deceased, to Joseph Frost and John Prichard the joint executors named in the said will. Upon which day Tuckwell exhibited his proxy for the said Joseph Frost and John Prichard and made himself a party for them and alledged that the said deceased departed this life on or about the BLANK day of BLANK one thousand eight hundred and BLANK having first duly made and executed her last will and testament in writing and thereof appointed his said party joint executors. Wherefore he prayed and the said surrogate at his petition decreed a probate of the said will to issue under seal of this Court in the name of the said Joseph Frost and John Prichard as also a Commission to issue out as aforesaid for receiving and taking the oath of his said party for the due and faithful performance thereof as executors to be directed to the Reverend William Powell, Augustin Williams and Joseph Fawcett Beddy, Clerks respectively residing in the County of Monniouth and Diocese of Llandaff jointly and severally. Let Commission pass the Seal. Richd Prichard, surrogate. 30th day of July 1852. Let Probate pass the Seal, Richd Prichard, surrogate.

Diocese of Llandaff. In the Consistory Court. In the goods of Ann Lloyd, widow, deceased. Appeared personally Joseph Frost of the parish of Landenny in the County of Monmouth, farmer, and John Prichard of the parish of Landenny in the said County, farmer, the joint exectors names in the last will and testament of the said Ann Lloyd late of the parish of Llandenny in the said County, widow, deceased, who died on the thirty first day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and filly one and made oath that the estate and effects of the said deceased, for and in respect of which a Probate of the said will is to be granted. exclusive of what the said deceased may have been possessed of or entitled to as a Trustee for any other person or persons, and not beneficially, and without deducting any thing on account of the debts due and owing from the said deceased, are under the value of twenty pounds, to the best of these deponent’s knowledge. Information, and belief. And they lastly made oath that the said deceased did not die possessed of any leasehold estate or estates for years, either absolute or determinable, on a life or lives to the best of these deponent’s knowledge and belief.
