Jenkin Llewelyn of Abergavenny.

In the name of God Amen I Jenkin Llewelyn of Abergavenny in the County of Monmouth being weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say. First I give devise and bequeath the rents and profits of the house I hold by lease (and wherein he now dwells) for the term of three years from and next ensuing after my decease unto my son in law Thomas Evan and from and immediately at the expiration of the said term of three years next after my decease I direct and appoint as well as devise and bequeath the rents profits and advantages of the said lease for and during the term of the natural lives of the persons mentioned in the said lease of lives unto my son Llewelyn Jenkin his heirs and assigns he being subject nevertheless to the rents and covenants therein mentioned I also devise give and bequeath all my household goods equally to be divided between my said son Llewelyn Jenkin and my said son in law Thomas Evan except the bed I have at my daughters which I give unto my executrix herein and hereafter named and the whole belonging to it. I also give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Catherine Williams widow the lease and all the profits and advantages and appurtenances of the said lease of coal works situate in the parish of Gallygare in Glamorganshire and which I had for a term of years yet to come and unexpired. And lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my said daughter Catherine Williams widow sole executrix and residuary legatee of this my last will and testament revoking all former wills and be it also remembered that with relation to the devise of the above lease as above expressed and given to my son in law Thomas Evan it is upon this express condition that the said Thomas Evan is to and must pay the yearly rent or acknowledgement of two pounds and ten shillings to the lessee Evan Thomas during the said term of three years hereby devised him. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty first day of November in the year one thousand seven hundred and seventy five. The mark of the said testator Jenkin Llewelyn.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said testator Jenkin Llewelyn as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request have signed our names as witnesses thereto in the presence of the said testator and in the presence of each other.
