In the name of God Amen, I John Leonard of the parish of Trevethin in the County of Monmouth and Diocess of Landaffe, being Sick in body, but of sound and perfect mind and memory (praise be therefore given to Almighty God) do make and ordain this my present last will and Testament in manner and form following (viz) first and principally, I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator, hoping through the merits, death and passion of my saviour Jesus Christ, to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sins, and to Inherit Everlasting life; and my body I commit to the earth, to be decently buried at the discre= =tion of my Executrix hereafter named; and as touching the disposition of all such temporal goods as it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me, I give and dispose thereof as followeth.
Imprimis I will that the Sume of thirty pounds of Lawfull English Money given my daughter Mary Leonard, whereof Twenty pounds were given her by her Grandfather, and whereof Ten pounds were given her by her Uncle, to be payd unto her, when She my said daughter Mary expires one and twenty years of age, by my Executrix hereafter nominated. It All the rest residue of my Money, Goods, Stock, Cattle & Chattles whatsoever within and without, I do give and bequeath unto my dear and loving wife Mary Leonard but if in case the said Mary my wife shall happen to change her condition, to marry and assume a new name, that then all the said Money, Goods, Stock, Cattle and Chattles whatsoever now in my Custody and possession within & without
shall be equally divided between my three daughters
It. I do constitute Nominate and appoint the said Mary my wife to be the Sole and only Executrix of this my Last will and Testament, and I do hereby Revoke & disanul and made void all former wills and Testaments by me heretofore made. I witness whereof I the said John Leonard to this my last will and Testament do put my hand and Seal the Sixteenth day of September In the year of our Lord 1732
