William Keene of Goldcliff 1691.

In the name of God Amen the third of July 1691 I William Keene of ye pish of Goulclift in the County of Monmoth gent being sick in body but of pfect memory thankes be to ye Lord do make & ordaine this my last will & testament in manor and forme as followeth. First I give my soule into the hands of Allmighty Lord my Creator hopping that threw the meretoroy? death & passion of his son & my Saviour Jesus Crist -? have free pardon and forgivenes for all my sins and my body to bee buried in Cristian buriall under ye --? in ye pish church of Goulclift.

Ite I give and bequeth unto my son John Keene two pound

Ite I give & bequeth unto my son William Keene one pound

Ite I give & bequeth unto my son in law Roger Keene one pound

Ite I give & bequeth unto my son Richard Keene one pound

Ite I give & bequeth unto my daughter Ann Keene one hundred and twenty pound to bee payd in six months time after my desese and I doe appoynt and desire my wellbloved friend Charles Jones gent to bee overseer of my sd daughter Anne Keene

Ite give & bequeth unto Charles Jones a mourning ring

Ite I doe give & bequeth unto my well beloved wife Blanch Keene all ye rest of my movable goods whone? I doe nominate apoynt to bee my whole & sole executor of this my last will & tastament revocking & disanuling all other wills whatsoever. In witnes woareof I have heareunto put my hand & seale the day & yeare above written . The marke of William Keene
