In the name of God Amen I William Jones of the Town of Usk in the County of Monmouth, Gent, being of perfect memory thanks be to Almighty God make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say. First I comend my soul into the hands of Almighty God and my body to the earth to be buryed at the discretion of my executrix herein after named in hopes of a joyfull resurrection thro the merrits of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and as to my estate and substance I dispose thereof as followeth. First my will and desire is that all my debts and funerall expences be paid and satisfied. Item I give devise and bequeath unto my wife Sarah all that my leasehold messuage farme lands and premisses with their appurtenances not in the possession of Walter Watkins scituate in Hewias Harrold in the County of Hereford and all rents issues and profitts thereof during the terme of her naturall life in case the estate therein and thereof granted shall so long …? and be and determined and in case it shall happen that my said wife shall dye before the estate in the said premisses shall be determined and become voyd then and in such case and from and after the decease of my said wife my will and meaning is and I do give devise and bequeath the same messuage farme lands and premisses with their appurtenances unto my dear mother Joan Jones of Usk widow her executors and assignes during the residue and remainder of the estate in the said premisses then to come and undetermined. Item I give devise and bequeath unto my said dear mother Joan Jones the sume of five shillings to be paid her by my executrix within six months next after my decease. Item I give unto my sister Elizabeth the wife of William Lewis mercer and to my brothers John Jones, James Jones, Henry Jones, Phillip Jones, Charles Jones & Penry Jones the sum of five shillings a piece to be paid to them respectively by my said executrix within twelve months next after my decease. Item I do nominate and appoint my dear and loving wife Sarah sole executrix of this last will and testament to whom I give devise and bequeath all the rest and residue of my goods and chattells and personall estate whatsoever before unbequeathed hereby revoking and making voyd all former will and wills by me made declareing and publishing this to be my last will and testament.
