Henry Jones. Trelleck Grange, Mon WILL Proved 20 June 1763 LL/1763/36

 

In the name of God, Amen. I Henry Jones of ye parish of Treleg Grange in the County of Monmouth. yeoman, being aged and weak in body, but of sound and perfect mind and memory, thanks be to Almighty God for ye same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner & form following.

Item I give and bequeath unto my sons Edward and Thomas the sum of three pounds apiece to be paid by my executors hereafter and above named within a year after my decease.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Henry Jones to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed as witnesses in ye presence of and at ye desire of ye testator. The mark of Henry Jones ye testator.

20th June 1763. Henry Jones the son and Elizabeth Jones the daughter, the executor in the will named were sworn well and faithfully to execute the same, to exhibit an inventory &c and to render an account &c before me. Nath Wells, surrogate.

This will was proved at Abergavenny on the twentieth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty three, before the Reverend Mr Nathaniel Wells. Clerk, Master of Arts, the Chancellor’s surrogate, by Henry Jones the son and Elizabeth Jones the daughter, the executors in this will named who were first on the holy Evangelists personally sworn well and faithfully to execute the same, to exhibit an inventory &c and to render a just account of their administration thereof, when thereunto lawfully required
