In the name of God, Amen. I Henry Jones of ye parish of Treleg Grange in the County of Monmouth. yeoman, being aged and weak in body, but of sound and perfect mind and memory, thanks be to Almighty God for ye same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner & form following.
First I give and bequeath all my household furniture, my cattle, chattels, goods and possessions, depts & credits unto my beloved son Henry and my beloved daughter Elizabeth towards paying my just debts, the payment of ye several legacies herein after mentioned, and defraying my funeral expenses.
Item I give and bequeath unto my sons Edward and Thomas the sum of three pounds apiece to be paid by my executors hereafter and above named within a year after my decease.
Item I give and bequeath unto my sons William and James the sum of one shilling apiece to be paid by my executors within a year after my decease.
Item I give and bequeath unto my several daughters Anne, Mary and Hannah the sum of one shilling apiece to be pd by my executors within a year after my decease.
Item I give and bequeath unto William ye son and Anne and Frances ye daughters of William Young. an ewe and lamb apiece to be pd and delivered by my executors within a year after my decease.
Item I give and bequeath unto Edward, Thomas and Henry ye sons of Thomas Bevan and Frances ye daughter, an ewe and lamb apiece to be paid and delivered to them by my executors within a year after my decease.
Item I give and bequeath unto James and Charles the sons of James Jones an ewe and lamb apiece to be paid and delivered to them by my executors within a year after my decease.
Item I give and bequeath unto Anne ye daughter of William Jones an ewe and lamb to be paid and delivered to her within a year after my decease by my executors above and hereafter mentioned.
Lastly I nominate and appoint my said son Henry and said daughters Elizabeth joint executors of this my last will and testament revoking all former wills and testaments by me made. In witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this second day of November in ye year of our Lord 1700 and sixty-two
Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Henry Jones to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed as witnesses in ye presence of and at ye desire of ye testator. The mark of Henry Jones ye testator.

20th June 1763. Henry Jones the son and Elizabeth Jones the daughter, the executor in the will named were sworn well and faithfully to execute the same, to exhibit an inventory &c and to render an account &c before me. Nath Wells, surrogate.
This will was proved at Abergavenny on the twentieth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty three, before the Reverend Mr Nathaniel Wells. Clerk, Master of Arts, the Chancellors surrogate, by Henry Jones the son and Elizabeth Jones the daughter, the executors in this will named who were first on the holy Evangelists personally sworn well and faithfully to execute the same, to exhibit an inventory &c and to render a just account of their administration thereof, when thereunto lawfully required
