In the name of God Amen, I Edward Jones of Pentwyn in the parish of Penalt in the County of Monmouth, hoop maker, being in sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in order following: viz. I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Judith my dwelling house situate at Pentwyn together with all other buildings, my garden with all other lands, my household furniture, implements of husbandry, live and dead stock together with all other my goods and chattels whatsoever and wheresover to be for her use and benefit during the term of her natural life. After the death of my wife, I give, devise and bequeath my house, garden, lands, buildings, implements of husbandry, live and dead stock, and one barrel, to my son Edward, his heirs, administrators and assigns for ever, but chargeable with the payment of the three following legacies, viz, I give and bequeath to my daughter Judith, the wife of James Smith ten pounds of lawful money to be paid in one year after the death of my wife. Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann, the wife of John Jenkins ten pounds of lawful money to be paid in two years after the death of my wife. Also I give and bequeath to my grandson Walter Prosser ten pounds of lawful money to be paid when he attains to twenty one years of age: But in the event of the death of my grandson Walter Prosser before he attains the age above mentioned I will and bequeath the last mentioned legacy of ten pounds to be equally divided between my two daughters before mentioned Judith and Ann, or their heirs in the event of their deaths, or the death of one of them. Also I give and bequeath my household furniture to be equally divided between my two daughters Judith and Ann before mentioned, their heirs and assigns. Lastly I nominate and appoint my son Edward as executor of this my last will and Testament, and George Dixon of Tregagal in the parish of Landogo as a trustee of the same. Appeared personally Edward Jones of the parish of Penalt in the County of Monmouth, the executor named in the last Will and Testament of the said Edward Jones late of the parish of Penalt aforesaid, hoop maker deceased, who died on the third day of April last and made Oath that the Estate and Effects of the said deceased, for and in respect of which, a probate of the said Will is to be granted, exclusive of what the said deceased may have been possessed of or entitled to as a Trustee for any other person or persons, and not beneficially, but including the leasehold estates for years of the said deceased, whether absolute or determinable on lives (if any) and without deducting any thing on account of the debts due and owing from the said deceased are under the value of ten pounds to the best of this deponents knowledge, information and belief
