This is the last will and testament of me Margaret Johns of Llanarth Street, Newport in the County of Monmouth, widow, made this fourth day of November one thousand eight hundred and sixty one. I give devise and bequeath unto my two daughters Eliza Johns spinster, and Matilda Gilston widow and the survivor of them and the heirs executors administrators and assigns of such survivor my leasehold house in Llanarth Street, Newport wherein I now reside and all my furniture and effects over which I have any disposing power subject to the payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences and charges of proving this my will and subject as to my leaseholds to a mortgage thereon for two hundred pounds and interest. I appoint my said two daughters Eliza Johns and Matilda Gilston joint executrixes or the survivor of them sole executrix of this my will hereby revoking and making void all former and other will or wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written. Margaret Johns.

This is a codicil of the last will of me Margaret Johns of Llanarth Street, Newport in the County of Monmouth, widow, bearing date the fourth day of November one thousand eight hundred and sixty one. I give and devise all legal or trust estates vested in me unto my son in law Charles Antill of Severn Cottage, Vicarage Street, Painswick, Gloucestershire, Gentleman and to my daughter Eliza Johns to hold upon the equities and trust affecting the same and I appoint the said Charles Antill jointly with my daughter Eliza Johns executors of my will and also of the executorship and trust which I now hold as the appointment under & by my late husbands will and I confirm my said will in all other respects as witness my hand this eighth day of August one thousand eight hundred & seventy. Proved at Llandaff with a codicil on the seventeenth day of August 1874 by the oath of Eliza Johns, spinster, the daughter, one of the surviving executors named in the will and codicil to whom administration was granted. Power reserved of making the like grant to Charles Antill the other surviving executor named in the said codicil.
The testatrix Margaret Johns was late of No 20 Llanarth Street, Newport in the County of Monmouth, widow, and died on the nineteenth day of January 1874 at Newport aforesaid.
