Fanny Johnes of Ross, Hef.
This is the last will and testament of me Fanny Johnes of Rocklands in the County of Hereford. I give devise and bequeath all my property as well real as personal to my sister Mary Anne Herbert for her life for her sole and separate use and free from the control of her husband. And from and after her decease I give devise and bequeath the same unto such person or persons as the said Mary Anne Herbert shall from time to time and at anytime notwithstanding her coverture by deed or will appoint and in default of such appointment I give devise and bequeath the same to my brother Thomas William Johnes of Leicester and to my nephew Herbert Owen Johnes and to their respective heirs executors administrators and assigns in equal moieties. And I do hereby appoint the said Mary Anne Herbert executrix of this my will. Fanny Johnes
Signed published and declared by the above named Fanny Johnes as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us who have at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses W Leonard G Bagshawe, The Oaks, Derbyshire; Edward O W Partridge, Hazelhurst, Herefordshire.
April 11th 1853
On the 11th day of April 1864 the will of Fanny Johnes late of Rocklands near Ross in the County of Hereford spinster was proved by the oath of Mary Anne Herbert of Rocklands aforesaid (wife of John Maurice Herbert of the same place, Esquire) and the sole executrix in the said will she having been first sworn duly to administer.
Effects under £1500. Testatrix died 18th March 1864
