In the name of God Amen I John
Prichard of the Brink in the parish of Skenfrith in the County of Monmouth
yeoman do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following
(that is to say). Imprimis I appoint my
son John Prichard and my daughter Ann Prichard joint executors of
this my will. Also I give and bequeath
unto my dear wife Elizabeth all my household furniture linen implements
cyder live and dead stock and effects for her life and at her death I bequeath
the same unto my said daughter Ann absolutely. Also I give and devise all my real estate whatsoever situate at
Skenfrith aforesaid unto my said wife and her assigns for her life and at her
death I devise one moiety thereof unto my said daughter Ann her heirs
and assigns for ever and the remaining moiety thereof unto my two sons John
Prichard and Charles Prichard their heirs and assigns for
ever as tenants in common and not as joint tenants. Also I give and bequeath all money that may be due to me on
mortgage bond note or otherwise and all other my personal estate not
hereinbefore disposed of unto my said wife and her assigns for her to receive
the interest thereof for her life and from and after her death I give and
bequeath the sum of one hundred and ten pounds part thereof unto my said
daughter Ann absolutely. Also I
give and bequeath the sum of nineteen guineas further part thereof unto Catherine
Evans the natural child of my said son John and give and bequeath
the residue thereof as follows, that is to say, one fourth part thereof to my
said son Charles, another fourth part thereof to my said son John
and the remaining two fourth parts thereof to my said daughter Ann and I
authorise my aforesaid executors to reimburse themselves all expenses they may
incur in executing my will and I direct that neither of them shall be
answerable for the other of them but each for his and her own acts deeds and
wilful defaults. In witness whereof I
have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of May one thousand
eight hundred and forty seven. The mark

spinster, the lawful daughter of the deceased and the executrix in this Will
named was duly sworn as such and that the goods chattels and credits of the
deceased are under the value of four hundred and fifty pounds ( power being
first reserved &c for the ex’tor) before me William Crawley, Surrogate
Diocese of Llandaff In the
Consistory Court.In the Goods of John
Prichard deceased,

Personally Ann Prichard of the parish of Skenfrith on the County of
Monmouth, spinster the Executrix
named in the last Will and Testament of the said John Prichard late of the parish of Skenfrith
aforesaid yeoman deceased, who
died on the thirty first day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and forty seven and made Oath that the Estate and Effects of the
said deceased, for and in respect of which a Probate of the said Will is to be
granted, exclusive of what the said deceased may have been possessed of or
entitled to as a Trustee for any other Person or Persons, and not beneficially,
and without deducting any thing on account of the Debts due and owing from the
said deceased, are under the value of four hundred and fifty Pounds, to the
best of this Deponent’s knowledge, information, and belief. And she lastly made
Oath that the said deceased did not die possessed of any Leasehold Estate or
Estates for years, either absolute or determinable, on a life or lives to the
best of this Deponent’s knowledge, information and belief. Ann Prichard
