In the name of God Amen I William John of the pish of Langattocke Vibon Avell & County of Monmoth beinge weake in body but in pfect memory (thanks be to God) doe make this to be my last will and Testament. First I give & bequeath my soule into the hands of Allmighty God my maker & redeemer.
Item I give & bequeath unto my wiefe Jane the some of tenn? Pounds to be pd by my Executors hereafter named within halfe a yeare after my decease & one cow by name Dolly & one red pige beinge now att the house & five bushells of hard corne & three bushells of ---? with free leave to take away all the houshold stuffe which came a longe with her. Item I give & bequeath unto John Hall the some of five pounds to be pd with halfe a yeare after my decease to use of the sd John & his children. Item I give & bequeath unto Mary the daughter of Jenkin Hall on eyw & lambe. Item I give & bequeath unto William the sonne of Meredith Thomas one eyw & lambe. Item I give & bequeath unto my sonne John the some of tenn pounds which is in the hands of Mr Walter Evans & tenn pounds by bond which is in the hands of Mr Richard Vaughan & twenty pounds which is in the hand of Mr Walter Watkins the use of which forty pounds I doe allow unto Timothy Powell towards the maintenance of my sd sonne & s---? & all my stocke vid--? ten head of cattle and ---? sheep & fower pigs with all my ---ables seaven fire vessells & three beds & bedsteads with sheets & blanketts & other appurtenances there unto belonginge. Item I give & bequeath unto Mary the daughter of my sd wife two ewes & two lambes & lastly I doe appointe Timothy Powell to be my sole executor & guardian on? my sonne.
