In the name of God Amen I Elizabeth Jenkins of the Parish of Cumcarvan in the County of Monmouth, widow, do by this may last will and testament give and bequeath unto my son in law Amos Willett one shilling. Item I give unto Ann Willett my daughter and wife of the sd Amos the bed and all the furniture thereunto belonging being in the room they now lie in and also three small casks and one iron pott. Item I give unto my grandson Wm Willett my biggest chest now above stairs. Item I give all the rest and residue of my goods, chattels and personal estate whatsoever unto my grandaughter Elizabeth Willet and daughter of my said son & daughter Amos and Ann Willett and I do hereby also nominate and appoint my sd grandaughter Elizabeth Willett sole exectrix of this my last will and testamt and I likewise desire that I may be decently buried at the expence of my said executrix. In witness whereof I have to this my last will & testamt set may hand and seal this eighteenth day of Sept in the twenty fifth year of the reign of King George the Second and in the year of our Lord 1751. Signed, sealed, published & declared by the sd Elizabeth Jenkins the testatrix to be her last will & testamt in the presence of us who have signed our names as wittnesses at her request and in her presence. The mark of Elizabeth Taylor, Hen Edmonds.
May ye 8th 1753. Elizabeth Willett the grandaughter and sole executrix in this will named was sworn well and faithfully to execute ye same and to the truth of the inventary &c and to render an acct &c before me, William Harris, Surrogate
This will was proved at Abergavenny on the eighth day of May in the year of our Lord Christ 1753, before the Reverend Mr William Harris, Clerk, Master of Arts, the Chancellors Surrogate, by Elizabeth Willett the grandaughter and sole executrix in the above will named, who was first on the holy Evangelists personally sworn well and faithfully to execute the same, and to the truth of the inventary by her exhibited, and to render a just account of her administration of the same when thereunto lawfully required.
