In the name of God Amen I Howel
Morgan of ye pish of Lansoy in ye County of Monmoth & Diocess of
Landaff yeoman being sound in body & of good & pfect disposing mind
& memory praysed be God doe make & ordain this my last will &
testament in manner & form following viz:
first I commend my soul in to ye hands of almighty God hopeing through
ye merits death & passion of my saviour Jesus Christ to have full &
free pardon & forgiveness of all my sins & to inherit everlasting life
and and my body I comit to ye earth to be decently buried at ye discretion of
my executrix hereafter named & as touching the disposition of all such
temporall goods as it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I give &
dispose there of as followeth. First I
will yt all my debts & funeral charges be well & truly contented &
pd in convenient time after my decease by my executrix hereafter named. Item I give & bequeath unto my son Jon:
Morgan the one half or moyty of all my implemts of husbandry of wt kind
soever & they be together with one half of all my iron tools to be
delivered unto him imediately after my decease. It: I give & bequeath unto my daughter Katherine ye
sum of two pounds of current English money together wth two bushels of mong
corn to be delivered unto her wthin two months after my decease. It: I give & bequeath unto my two grand
children viz Tho: & John ye sons of my sd daughter Katherine
ye sum of ten shillings unto each of them wthin one year after my decease. It: I give & bequeath unto Edward
Morgan my son ye sum of three pounds to be pd him wth in three years after
my decease. It: I give & bequeath
to my daughter Rachel Morgan ye sum of seven pounds of current English
money to be delivered unto her one half of ye sd money wthin one whole year
after my decease & ye other half or residue of ye said money to be pd unto
her wthin two whole years after my decease.
And I give & bequeath unto my sd daughter Rachel ye great
brass crock yt now is in using one pair of fine sheets ye cubburt yt now
standeth in ye hall one feather bed & bolster one bedsteed yt standeth in
ye great chamber & one couvled to be all delivered unto her wthin three
months after my decease. It I give
& bequeath unto my son Howel Morgan ye sum of ten pounds of current
English money one half or moytie of ye sd money being five pounds to be
delivered unto him wthin five years after my decease & ye other moiety of
ye sd ten pounds being five pounds to be delivered unto him wthin six years
after my decease all ye remainder & residue wth all other my goods chattels
& chattels psonally wth soever not herein before bequeathed I give &
bequeath unto my loveing wife Mary Morgan whom I doe also nominate &
appoint to be sole executrix of this my last Will & Testam’t & for ye
paying & discharging of these legacies by me hearin given & bequeathed
& I doe hereby revoke disannall & make void all former Wills &
Testamts by me hereto fore made. In
witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal ye 27th of
