Ann Gwynn of Llangoven 1866

The last will and testament of Ann Gwynn, widow, of the parish of Langoven in the County of Monmouth and Diocese of Llandaff. I Ann Gwynn do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following. I give and bequeath to each of my children as are now living with me namely to Mary William John Matthew and Emma the sum of fifteen pounds each. After the payment of such legacies as also of all my just and lawful debts, funeral expences and so on. I give and bequeath the rest of my property, household furniture, farming crops and stock, implements of husbandry and all kinds of property whatsoever to me appertaining to be equally divided between my son Thomas and such of my children as are before named, that is to say, Mary within twelve months of my decease either upon a valuation of my property by two competent persons or a public auction of the same as my executrix and executor herein after to be appointed shall think fit. I hereby revoke any former will and testament I may have made and declare this as my last. I also hereby nominate and appoint my daughter Mary executrix and my son William executor of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have thereunto set my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty. The mark of Ann Gwynn. Signed sealed published and declared by the said testator Ann Gwynn as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses. Proved at London 17th Octr 1866 by the oaths of Mary James, wife of William James, the daughter, and William Gwynn the son, the executors to whom admon was granted
