In the name of God Amen, the tenth day of August 1667 I Thomas Gwin of Trellecke in the County of Monmoth, yeoman, doe make this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge I beinge weake in body but of perfect memory (praised be allmighty God). First I comitt my soule into the hands of almighty God my maker and my body to be buryed at the discretion of my friends & executor heare after nominated, in Christian buryall.
First I give unto my wife Mary Gwin all my lands, houses, tenements, chattell & cattell, houshold stuffe and whatsoever else |I doe now possesse wholy & soley duringe tearme of her life if shee remaines a widdow but in case she marry that the lands and tenements be imediately after her marryage betweene my two sonnes Christopher and Thomas and the goods and cattells and houshold stuffe betweene my two daughters Elizabeth and Mary, but if she remaine a widdow, that the lands be betwixt my said two sonnes after her desease as is heare after expressed, and the said houshold stuffe betweene my said two daufghters with all the whole stocke after my said wifes desese.
It I give unto my sonne Christopher the house, barne, garden, orchard with the aptences wherein I dwell, a peece of land called the Stanks?, cay focke?, tyler? Erowr? Dellin? Conditionally that he shall not sell nor mortgage it to any pson whatsoever but in case he sell it that his brother Thomas Gwin have the refusall of it and if he sell it that my sonne Thomas shall give him for it forty pounds, to be paid him two pound every yeare tell the whole be paid.
It I give unto my sonne Thomas Gwin the house called the brewinge house where George John George lately lived with the garden thereunto belonginge, with the meadow next over against it, with all the aptenances belonginge thereunto next and imediately after my desese and his mother.
I doe order my sonn Cristopher to pay six pounds unto his sister Mary after the desese of his mother
It I doe nominate and appoynt my sonne Thomas Gwin to be my whole and sole executor of this my last will and testament revokinge mye all other wills and testaments which I formerly made, and this onely to remane in force. In witnesse whereof I have heareunto set my hand and seale the day and yeare above written 1667.
