In ye name of God Amen I William George of ye pish of Penaclauth in the Countie of Monmoth, batcheler, being in good and perfect memory praise be --? to Allmighty God doe make and ordaine this my present last will and testament in manner and forme folowing, that is to say, first and principally I commend my soule into ye hands of Allmighty God hoping through the merits, death and passion of my saviour and redeemer Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and forgivenes of all my sins and to in herit everlasting life and my body I commit to ye earth to be decently burial at ye discression of my executrix hereafter named and as touching the disposition of all such temporall estate as it hath pleased Allmighty God to bestow upon mee I give and dispose therof as followeth.
Item: I doe give and beequeath unto my naturall brother John George ye sume of thirty shillings of current English money to bee paid him yearly upon ye second day of February for ye space and terme of eight yeares by my executrix.
Item: I doe give and bequeath unto my nice Mary ye eldest daughter of my brother Walter George ye sume of forty shillings to bee paid her within ye space of to yeares after my desease.
Item: I doe give and bequeath unto Elisabeth ye other daughter of my sd brother the sume of forty shillings to be paid her alsoe within ye space of to yeares after my desease.
Item: I doe give and bequeath unto Jane ye daughter of my brother Jenkin deseased the sume of forty shillings to bee paid her within ye space of to yeares after my decease.
Item: I doe give to Mary other daughter of ye sd Jenkin deceased ye sume of forty shillings to be paid her allsoe within ye space of to yeares after my desease.
Item: I doe give to my cussin Walter Hary ye sume of twenty shillings to be paid him within --? weekes --? after my desease.
Item: I doe give and bequeath unto my maid servant one cowe to be delivered her within ye space of one weeke after my desease.
Item: I doe give and bequeath unto Elisabeth Steeven one cow to bee delivered her within ye space of one weeke after my desease.
And as for all the residue of my personall estate, goods and chattells whatsoever moveable and unmoveable I doe give and bequeath unto my loving aunt Elinor Thomas, spinster, and doe nominate and apoint her to be the full and sole executrix of this my last will and testament and I doe heerby revocke and disannull all former wills or gifts and testaments by mee heretofore made. In witnes heerof I the sd William George have to this present last will and testament have set my hand and seale ye ninth day of March in the four and thirtieth yeare of his Maiesties Rainge over Ingland and in ye yeare of our Lord God 1681. Ye oath is that the writing hereto annexed is the originall last will and testamt of William George late of the parish of Penclawdd in the County of Monmouth, deced soe far as ye know and believe, and that ye will well & truly pforme the same according to law, by paying his debts and legacies soe far forth as --? --? & --? law will binde ye, and will alsoe exhibite a true & pfect inventary and a iust account of all & singlar the goods, cattle and chells of the said deced when ye shall be thereto lawfully called.
