Jenkin George of Penyclawdd 1681.

In the name of God Amen the second day of March one thousand six hundred & eyghty I Jenkin George of the pish of Penyclauth wthin the County of Monmoth yeoman being sick in body but of good & p’fect memory (thankes be given to almighty God) doe make & ordayne this my last will & testam’t in writeing in manner & forme following (viz) I give & bequeath my soule unto Almighty God hopeing to be saved by the merritts of my saviour & redeemer Christ Jesus and my body to be buryed in Christian buriall. Item I give & bequeath unto my daughter Jane, & my daughter Mary, the sume of fower score & six pounds to be equally devided betweene them both wch said sume is now remaining in my now dwelling house, & in the hands of Mr Abraham Williams of Tremiles? dy? in the pish of Cumcarvan by severall Bonds. Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Jane one of my fower yeare old heyfers. Item I give & bequeath unto my daughter Mary one other fower yeare old heyfer. Item I give & bequeath unto my sonn John one of my three yeare old heyfers. Item I give & bequeath unto my sonn John the sum of forty pounds when hee shall attayne unto the respective age of twenty & one yeares. Item I give & bequeath unto my loveing wife all and singular my goodes catells chattells houshould stuff and all my implem’ts of husbandry & houshould stuff except what I have formerly bequeathed. Lastly I nominate my said loveing wife to be sole executrix of this my will. In wittness whereof I have here unto sett my hand & seale the day month & yeare above said.
