            In the name of God Amen the seaventh day of February in the 29th yeare of King Charles the seconds Reign &c Annoq dom 1676 I Elizabeth Keene of the hill in the pish of goldclift in the count of Munmorth widow being aged & weake of body but of pfect minde & memory thanks be to God for ir doe make & ordaine this my lasy will & testament (revoaking all others) in manner & forme following.  First & above all things I commend my soule to God yt gave it & my body to the earth of wch it was framed to be buried in Christ Church church hopeing for a joyfull Resurection through Jesus Christ my savior and as for my worldly goods I give devise & bequeath them in manner & forme following.  And for the first thereof I give & bequeath the best bed bedsteed wth the apptences here to fore used in the best chamber unto William Keene the elder of Landgattock  my brother in law, alsoe the great presse a side boord & the little round table in the same chamber.  Alsoe I give & bequeath the best bed in the closset wth its apptences unto William Kine my grandson & the long table frame wth the stooles in the best chamber.  Alsoe I give & bequeath one bed & bedsted wth the apptences a table board & twoe chests? & a side table in the new chamber unto Mary Powell.  Alsoe I give & bequeath unto my sister law Screens daughters of Simeton? {Somerton? DW) the biggest chest in the best chamber.  And to my sister Grace Screene their mother the best bed wth the apptences in kitchen chamber where I doe lie and the bedsteed there.  Alsoe I give moore unto Mary Powell one great which in the cheese laft.  Alsoe I give the table board & frame three chests & six stooles in the halle unto William Kine my sonn in law & to his sonn William my grandson the great chest in the halle.  I give to Mary the daughter of Rodger Robins a dust bed & bedsteed wth the apptenences &c to Rogers wife one dust bed & bedsteed wth the apptences & to Sist? West one moore & to Margaret Walters one of the same? bed & bedsteed  …………  other of the dust bed & bedsteads ……… my twoe worst fether beds & bedsteads ……….     kitchen laft unto Nem Howells …….. dat Febuary 7th and 29th of King Charles 1676

Alsoe I give unto John Wintle the elder of Arlingham the sum of tenn pounds if the said John happens to die before me them my will is to be & remain unto Henry Wintle his sonn.  Also I give unto the poore of Christ Church the summe of five pounds to be devided by the church wardens thereof thereof.  And to the poore of the pish of Arlingham five pounds to be disposed by Walter Carter & Henry Wintle thereof.  And to the poore of pish of Newnham five pounds at the disposeing of John? Bound? or Thomas Bound his sonn of the same.  alsoe I give unto William Keene aforesaid my brother in lawe twenty pounds.  Alsoe I give unto my sonn in lawe William Keene tenn pounds.  And to Richard Carter ye sonn of Walter Carter aforesaid the sum of five pounds.  Alsoe I give unto Henry Wintle of Arlingham the elder the sum of tenn pounds.  Alsoe I give to John West my servant twenty shillings & to Silvester Jones forty shillings.  And alsoe five pounds to be distributed equally betwixt such servants as shall be in service at my decease.  Alsoe I doe appointe thirty pounds for my funeral expences.  And last of all I doe nominate & appoint my brother in lawe William Keene the elder and Walter Carter my friend of Arlingham in the County of Glocester phisitian my executors in trust to receive take  ……? dispose of all such goods chattels cattle & debts …….? Disposed to satisfie and pay such legasies funeral expences before given & disp’ed allowing my trustees aforesaid their expences & charges in going about the same.  and if any over plus remaines above the legasies funeral expences & debts paide out of my goods whatsoever not before menconed or declared then my will is if any such over plus there be shall be & remain to the use of the said Walter Carter to have twoe pts & Thomas Bound of Newnham one pte thereof.  In witness whereof I have hereunto putt my hand & seale the day & yeare first above written.  The mark of Elizabeth Keene.
