In the name of God, Amen, I David Edwards of the parish of Cwmcarvan in the County of Monmouth being of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say, after my just debts and funeral expences are paid, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary Edwards all the rest and residue of my personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature, kind and quality soever the same may be. And I hereby constitute and appoint the said Mary Edwards sole executrix of this last will and testament, revoking and making void all others by me heretofore made and declare this only to be my last will and testamen.
