                In the name of God Amen I Edw’d Jones senr of the parish of Langwm Issha in the County of Monmouth, farmer, being of sound memory and recollection, do make and deliver this my last Will and Testament in manner following; viz:  I resign my soul into the hands of it’s Creator and my body to be interred decently at the expense of my executor hereinafter mentioned with respect to my worldly or temporal goods:  Imprimis, I give, devise and bequeath unto my daughter Pricilla the sum of two hundred pounds of good & lawful money of Great Britain together wth a good feather bead performed wth it’s furniture.   I give, devise and bequeath also unto my daughter Abigail the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds of good & lawful money of Great Britain and a bead well performed. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Hannah the sum of twenty five pounds.  Lastly I nominate and appoint my son Edward Jones of the parish of Langwm Issha in the County aforesaid, to be my whole and sole executor of this my last Will and Testament.  I also decree and order that the above legacies shall be strictly and punctually paid and discharged at the full end and expiration of twelve calendar months after my decease.  Edward Jones

 

            Signed, sealed and delivered this 6th day of May 1800 in the presence of us Edward Thomas;  John Jenkins (by mark)

 

Dec’r 4th 1805.  Edward Jones the son and sole executor in this will named was sworn to the truth thereof and to the faithful performance of the same and that the goods chatles and credits do not amount in value to the sum of eight hundred pounds before me  Benj Hall, Chanc’r

 

Proved at Landaff before the Chancellor on the 4th of Dec’r 1805 on the oath of the son and sole executor
