In the name of God amen the ninth
day of February one thousand seven hundred and eight I Edward Jenkin
of the pish of Landenny in the Countie of Monmoth & Diocess of Landaffe
farmer being sick in body but of perfect mind & memory thankes be to
Almightie God doe make & ordaine this my last will & testamt in
wrighting in maner & forme following, first & principall I commend my
soule into the hands of Almightie God my maker & redeemer and my body to
the earth to be buried in Christian burial.
Itm I give & bequeath all my goods cattles & chattels housholde
stuffe implements of husbandry, corn growing on the farme, corn threshed &
unthreshed and all other goods that I am now possessed of that shall be &
remaine over & above paying & discharging of my rent & funeral
expences to be equally divided between my loveing wife Elizabeth &
my deare daughter Mary but if my said wife shall at any time after my
decease happen to mary then my will & meaning is that my said daughter
shall have the whole that will be then remaining and that she shall quietly
enjoy both shares but if my said daughter shall happen to dye before she shall
come to the age of foureteen yeares then the whole to be equally divided
between my loveing wife & my sister Sara Jenkin. Itm I doe nominate & appoint my loveing
wife to be executrix of this my last will & testament utterly revokeing all
other wills formery by me made. In
