In the name of God Amen This is the last will and testament of me George Dumayne of the parish of Lanvachas in the Countey of Monmouth, Gentleman, made this 3 day day of February 1777 one thousand seven hundred and seventy seven. First I commend my soul unto allmighty God and my bodey to the earth to be decently buried. I geive and devise all my customary hold, mesuages, lands and tenements situated in the severall manors and parishes of Undy, Redweick and Gouldclift in the saide Countey of Monmouth which has beein surrendred to my late brother Thomas Dumayne of Newport, desessed as asseossee in trust unto my nephe Thomas Edwards and Thomas Dumayne and either of them, both of the Hamlet of Tregwelim in the parish of Bassalleg in the Countey of Monmouth and the heires of the survivors of them for ever; I geive it share & share lick as tenants common. In defalt of such issue to the heiars of the survivor of them for ever. I geive and devise all all my estate lands estate called Tallgarth in the parish of Lanvachas in the Countey afore saide unto my saide nevew Thomas Dumayne and to the heires of his body lawfulley begoten and for want of haiers to my nevew Thomas Edwards of the parish of Basleick and his heaiers for ever. I give and devise to my neise now Sarah Place the sum of five pounds. I geive to my neise Mary Abraham the sum of ten pounds and I geive to her son and daughter the sum of ten pounds to each of them to be paide by excitoirr heare affter mensiond in one year affter my deiscese. I geive that farm and lands called by the name of the Reune Farm in the parish of Lanvachas to Sarah Johens now of the parish of Magor in the Countey of Monmouth for her life time and affter her deceise I geive the estate to my nevew Thos Edwards. I geive to Wroth Steder of the parish of St Brides in the saide Countey the sum of five pounds. I geive the poore of the parish of Bettuss the sum of five pounds. I geive the poor of the parish of Lanvachas the sum of five pounds to be devided betwein them in bred affter my deiscese.
All the rest of my mooney goods and chattles effects and persenall estate not hearein otherwaise deisposed of I geive to my nevew Thomas Edward and my new Thomas Dumayne share and share licke and do appoint them joint executerrs of this my last will and and testament; and I appoint my saide nevew Thomas Edwards guardian over the the saide Thomas Dumayne unteil he comes of the age of twentey and five years and do desire the saide Thomas Edwards, to receive the rents of my real estate and the intrestoff my moony laide out on morgage or otherwaise for the use and benefeit of the saide Thomas Edwards and Thomas Dumayne to whome I geive the same. Proved at Landaff on the seventeenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy seven before the Reverend Thomas Evans, Clerk, the Chancellors Surrogate by Thomas Edwards and Thomas Dumayne the executors in this will named who were first on the holy Evangelists personally sworn well and faithfully to execute the same to exhibit an inventary &c and to render a just acct of their administration thereof when thereunto lawfully required
