            This is the last Will and Testament of me David Jones of the parish of Nash in the County of Monmouth Gentleman made on the second day of February 1768.  First I will that all my just debts be paid.  I give and bequeath unto my grandson David Lewis and my grandaughter Sarah Jones the sum of five hundred and twenty five pounds which I have now at interest to be paid them when they attain their respective ages of twenty one years share and share alike and in case either of them die before they attain their said ages then I give the share of he or she so dying to the survivor of them and if both of them die before they attain their said ages of twenty one I give the whole five hundred and twenty five pounds to my son herein after named.  I give to the poor inhabitants of the parish of Nash the sum of two guineas yearly for five years after my decease to be distributed amongst them by my said son at his discretion.  I do hereby constitute and appoint Henry Morgan of Caerleon Gent and my said son trustees of this my Will and do impower them to lay out the said sum of five hundred and twenty five pounds at interest for the use and benefit of my said grandson and grandaughter to be paid them when they arrive their said ages of twenty one not before.  All the rest of my money goods cattle and effects real and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved son William Jones his heirs and assigns for ever and do appoint him sole executor of this my Will.  In witness where of I have hereunto put my hand and seal the day and year first above written.   David Jones

Proved at Landaff on the thirty first day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy five before the Reverend Thomas Evans, Clerk, the Chancellor’s Surrogate by William Jones the son and sole executive in the within written will named who was first on the holy Evangelists personally sworn well and faithfully to execute the same to exhibit an inventory &c and to render a just account of his administration thereof when thereunto lawfully required
