Frances Darby of Abergavenny 1883.

This is the last will and testament of me Frances Darby of 3 Blenheim Place, Abergavenny in the County of Monmouth, widow as follows. I give devise and bequeath all and singular my real and personal estate and effects of whatsoever nature or kind the same may be and wheresoever situate unto my nephews Thomas Herbert of Llanerthell Farm, Llandenny in the County of Monmouth, farmer, and Richard Herbert of Garndiffaith in the said County of Monmouth, provision merchant, upon trust as soon as conveniently may be after my decease to sell, call in and convert into money the same or such part thereof as shall not consist of money and shall with and out of the money produced by such sale calling in and conversion and with and out of such part of my personal estate as shall consist of money pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and shall stand possessed of the said residuary trust monies upon trust for my six children namely Charles Gwynne, John Gwynne, William Gwynne, Mary Elizabeth Blanch the wife of Richard Blanch of Welsh Bicknor in the County of Monmouth, farmer, Sarah Frances James wife of John James of Llandenny in the County of Monmouth, builder, and Caroline Esther Kennedy wife of John Kennedy of Abergavenny aforesaid, grocer, in equal shares. And I direct that any monies that may be owing to me from any of my said children shall be paid to my said trustees before any division of my said estate is made to such child or children or that the same shall be deducted from his, her or their share. And I declare that the beneficial interest of every female under this my will shall be for her own sole and separate use and benefit free from all marital control. And I appoint my said nephews Thomas Herbert and Richard Herbert executors of this my will and revoking all former wills and testamentary dispositions I declare this to be my last will. In witness whereof I have to this and the preceding sheet hereof set my hand this twenty sixth day of July one thousand eight hundred and eighty three. Frances Darby.

Signed by the said Frances Darby as and for her last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

On the 13th Decr 1883 probate of this will was granted to Thomas Herbert and Richard Herbert the executors
