            In the name of God Amen I Daniel John of ye pish of Langibby in the County of Monmouth and Dioceses of Landafe cordwainer being sicke in body but of sound & pfect mind & memory & remembreance doe make & ordaine this my last will & testament in maner & forme following that is to say.  First of all

I give my soule in to ye hand of ye Allmighty God  my maker & redeedmer and my body to be buried in Christian buriall at ye pish church of Lanthewy Vach.  I order that all my funerall expenses might be paid & discharged.

I allsoe give devise & bequeath betwen ye childrens of John Ambrose ye fourteen sheeps yt is on ye comon of God y mabane.

I also nominat & appoimt my well beloved cosin John Ambrose to be my hole sole executor of this my last will & testament revocking & disanuuling all former willis heartofor made by me.  In witnes wher of I have hearunto but my hand & seale this ye second day of August in ye year one thousand seven hundred thirty three.

 

Singed sealed puilhed prnouced & declard by the testator as & for his last will & testament in ye prsent of Daniel John; Gre: Perrott, Rector;  Gibbon Williams; 

 

May the 11th 1736.  John Ambrose the cousin and executor in this will named was sworn well and truely to execute the same to the truth of the inventory & to render an account &c before me Wm Morgan, Surrogate

 

This Will was proved att Christchurch on the eleventh day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred thirty and six before the Revd Mr William Morgan, Clr, the Chancellor’s Surrogate by John Ambrose the cousin and executor in this Will who was sworn well and truely to execute the same to the truth of the inventory and to render a just account of his admon of the same when thereunto lawfully required

 

An inventory of all and singular the goods cattle chattells and creditts of Daniel John late of the parish of Langibby in the County of Monmouth and Diocese of Landaffe cordwainer decased made vallued and appraised the ninth day of December in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred thirty and five by John Harry and David Howel appraisors as follows, that is to say.
