In the name of God Amen the 29th
day of September 1825 I Charles Evans miller and farmer of the parish of
Langwm in the County of Monmouth being of perfect mind and memory do make and
ordain this my last Will and Testament – that is to say – Principally I give
and recommend my soul into the hands of God who gave it.And my body to the
earth to be buried in decent Christian form.
And as touching such worldly goods and effects, which God has been,
pleas’d to bless me with I give demise and dispose of in the following
manner. First I give and bequeath to my
beloved son William Evans one feather bed, bedstead, bed clothes and
furniture theretwo belonging to gether with one chest of drawers and sixty
pounds of good and lawfull money of great Britain to be paid out of the present
existing property within fourteen months from the date of my decease.
I bequeath als to my dear children Charles,
Mary and Phillip Evans sixty pounds to each and every one of them
to be paid out of the same my present property and effects and within the
period above written. All the remainder
or residue of my property and effects whatsoever after my just debts, legacies,
funeral, probate and other nesesary expences are fully paid I give and bequeath
to my dearly beloved wife Mary Evans by her freely to be
possessed. And I constitute, make and
ordain my dear brother Francis Evans and William Harris of this
parish & County farmers joint executors of this my last Will and Testament
and likewise trustees of the within legatees whome I request to dispose of
their several amount of legacys to the beast advantage according to law untill
they shall severally attain the age of twenty years at which time principal and
interest shall be paid with the exeption of unavoidable expences. I confirm this my last Will and Testament in
witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above

declared by the said Charles Evans as his last Will and Testament in the

lawful brother of the deceased and William Harris the joint executors
named in this Will were duly sworn as such and that the goods chattels and
credits of the deceased are under the value of three hundred pounds. Before me

Personally Francis Evans of the
parish of Langwm in the County of Monmouth farmer and William Harris of
Langwm aforesaid farmer the joint Executors named in the last Will and Testament
of the said Charles Evans late of the parish of Langwm aforesaid deceased, who died on the twenty
seventh day of September and made Oath
that the Estate and Effects of the said deceased, for and in respect of which a
Probate of the said Will is to be granted, exclusive of what the said deceased
may have been possessed of or entitled to as a Trustee for any other Person or
Persons, and not beneficially, and without deducting any thing on account of
the Debts due and owing from the said deceased, are under the value of three hundred Pounds, to the best of this Deponent’s knowledge, information,
and belief. And lastly made Oath that
the said deceased did not die possessed of any Leasehold Estate or Estates for
years, either absolute or determinable, on a life or lives to the best of this
Deponent’s knowledge, information and belief. Francis Evans; William
