In the name of God Amen this is the last will and testament of me Pleasant Bullock of the Town of Monmouth, widow, whereby I dispose of my worldly estate as follows. First my will is that all my just debts be paid by my executrix hereinafter named. Item I give and devise unto my sister Sybil Penry all that my farm and lands called the Four Pounds situate in the parish of Llanvihangell Yestern Llewern in the County of Monmouth in the several tenures or occupations of William Evans and James Pritchard and all my estate and interest therein to hold to the said Sybil Penry and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life and from and after her decease I give and devise the same unto my nephew Charles Penry Bullock and his assigns for and during the term of his natural life and from and after his decease to the eldest son of the said Charles Penry Bullock lawfully begotten or to be begotten and the heirs of his body and for want of such issue to the eldest daughter of the said Charles Penry Bullock lawfully begotten or to be begotten her heirs and assigns for ever and also I give and bequeath to the said Charles Penry Bullock the sum of fifty pounds to my niece Frances Bellamy the sum of fifty pounds to my niece Susannah Martin the sum of fifty pounds to my niece Pleasant Bullock the sum of fifty pounds to my nephew John Powell the sum of fifty pounds to Frances Bellamy the younger one of the daughters of my said niece Frances Bellamy the sum of fifty pounds and to Hannah Bellamy the other daughter of my said niece Frances Bellamy the sum of thirty pounds both which last mentioned legacies it is my will shall be paid into the hands of the said Frances Bellamy their mother for their use and the mothers receipt shall be a good and sufficient discharge to my executrix for the same but in case either of the daughters of my said niece Frances Bellamy shall happen to die before she attains the age of twenty one years or be married then my will is that the legacy of her so dying shall go to the surviving sister. Item I give to Elizabeth Gabriel widow of James Gabriel deceased the sum of four pounds all which several legacies it is my will shall be paid by my executrix hereinafter named within six months after my decease without interest for the same. Item I the said Charles Penry Bullock the use of my silver tankard for his life and after his death I give the same to his son I also give to my niece the said Frances Bellamy my gold watch and chain my pearl necklace and best earings a ruby heart ring six china plates my best Brussells laced cap lappets handkerchief tucker and double ruffles. Item I give the use of my silver pint cup to my sister Sybil Penry for her life and after her decease I give the same to the aforesaid Hannah Bellamy all my money securities for money personal estate and effects whatsoever after payment of my just debts the before mentioned legacies and funeral expences I give and bequeath unto my sister the said Sybil Penry her executors administrators and assigns and do nominate and appoint the said Sybil Penry sole executrix of this my will hereby revoking all other wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this only to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have to this my last will and testament contained in two sheets of paper to the first thereof set my hand and to the last my hand and seal this tenth day of October 1776. This will was proved at London the seventh day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty three before the Right Worshipful Peter Calvert, Doctor of Laws &c by the oath of Sybil Penry spinster the sole executrix named in the will of the deceased to whom administration was granted of all and singular the goods chattels
