In the name of God Amen I Anthony John of the parish of
Lanwenarth in the County of Monmoth and wthin the diocess of Landaffe yeoman
being sick in body butt of perfect memory laud and praise be to Almighty God;
calleing to minde the uncerteintie of life and the certeinty of death, and that
all flesh must yeald there unto when it pleaseth God to calle, doe make and
ordeine this my last will and Testam’t in manner & forme followeing; first
and principally I comend my soule into the tin...? and protection of my Lord
and onely saviour Jesus Christ hopeing and assuredly trusteing by his
meritorious death and passion to inherite life everlasting, and my body I comit
to the earth to be decently buried in the parish church of Lanwenarth
aforesd. And as touching the
disposition of such temporall estate as the Lord of his mercy hath been?
pleased to lend me I give and dispose thereof as followeth. It I give and bequeath unto my sonn John
Anthony the sume of tenn pownds.
It I give and bequeath unto my sonn Thomas Anthony fifteene
pownds. It I give and bequeath unto my
neece Susann William Lewis tenn pownds.
It I give and bequeath unto my grandchild Mary daughter to my
sonn Thomas one cowe. It I give
unto my grandsonn John, my sonn John Anthonys eldest sonn
five sheep, and to my grandchild Margarett one other of my said sonn Johns
children six sheepe. It I give &
bequeath my two oxen between my said sonn Johns children Margarett
and Maude. And I doe nominate
and appointe my grand child Maude my said sonn John Anthonies
youngest daughter to be sole executrix of this my last will &
testam’t. In witness whereof I have
here unto putt my hand & seale the 20th day of November Anno Dni
