In the name of God Amen I John Anthony of the parish of Lanwenarth in the County of Monmouth yeoman being of perfect memory praised be God do this 15 day of December 1693 make & ordain this my last will & testament in manner & form following vizt First I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker hoping through ye meritorious death & passion of Jesus Christ my only saviour & redeemer to receive free pardon & forgiveness of all my sins & as for my body to be buried in Xtian buriall att the discretion of my executrix hereafter named. Itm I give & bequeath unto my daughter Margaret the sum of tenn pounds. Itm I give & bequeath unto my son John the summ of ten pounds. Itm I give unto my daughter Maud the sd sum of ten pounds. Itm I give unto my daughter Mary the sum of ten pounds which said legacy amounting to the value of fourty pounds is to be payd the persons named yt is to say ten pounds to Margarett wn shee shall arrive att ye age of one & twenty, to John wn he shall arrive att the age of one & twenty, to Maud wn shee shall arrive at ye age of one & twenty, & to Mary the like summe wn she shall arrive att ye age of one & twenty, all which sums thus specifyed to be payd by Jenkin my eldest son for & in consideracon of one moyety of the estate which I bequeath unto him when he shall arrive att the age of one & twenty years but in case any of the sd children dye before they arrive att the sd term of one & twenty years he the said Jenkin is no longer accountable after the decease of any the persons above named. Item I devise & bequeath unto my daughter Maud all those goods and moveables which my father Anthony John lately disposed unto her by his last will & testamt. Item I give the one half of all my lands tenemts & hereditaments & all other goods & moveables whsoever unto Cecill my wife for term of her life, and the other halfe of the estate unto my said wife untill my son Jenkin shall arrive at ye age of one & twenty & after her decease I bequeath all my lands tenements & hereditaments unto the sd Jenkin & his heirs forever upon condition yt the sd Cecill shall pay all my debts & I do make her sole executrix of this my last will & testamt.
