Daniel Molgaard 1921-2001
Daniel Molgaard, 79, of Kenosha, died Tuesday (Jan.
23, 2001) at Woodstock Health Care Center.
Born in Alta, Iowa, on June 4, 1921, he was the son of
the late Carl and Dagmar "Dora" (Hanson) Molgaard. He was
educated in Wisconsin schools. In December of 1944 he married Clarice
Glasman. He served in the U.S. Army with Company B-711 Tank Battalion in
the Ryaya Islands and Okinawa.
After 30 years, he retired from American Motors in
1981. He also farmed in Kenosha County.
He attended First Assembly of God and was a member of
VFW and UAW Local 72.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis (Janet) of Marshfield,
Mo., Daniel "Danny" (Anna) of Bristol; two daughters, Darlene
(Eugene) Drascic of Kenosha and Teresa (Jack) Swartz of Lancaster, Ky.;
two sisters, Esther (Raymond) Flood of Pottsboro, .Texas, and Eunice
(Jim) Young of Zion, III.; and grandchildren and great-grand-children.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph,
Paul, Philip, and Enoch, and two sisters, Martha Martinez and
Sarah Dissmore.
Hanson Funeral Home, Racine, is in charge of the
arrangements.
