In Memory

Back on Sept 1, 1961, following 3 days of rain, the family of Paul Girard who lived at 324 Wilson Avenue were the victims of a horific flood. Angele Bastarache (Mrs. Paul Girard), 32, Diane 13, Lise 7, Donald 3 parished in the basement apartment. One month baby, Marianne was rescued from the basement apartment and placed in a car and died in the car.
