Barbara Mobley et. al. to William H. Kirkham

Deed


Know All Men By These Presents:

That we, Barbara Mobley, William Mobley, David Mobley, Samuel H. Wingfield and Sarah his wife, Granville W. Tarpley and Leanner his wife, and Elijah Kelley guardian of Ann Mariah Kelley, and William Gilmer guardian of Myra Alice Mobley, being the heirs and guardians of the minor heirs of David Mobley deceased, being residents of the County of Pike in the State of Arkansas, for and in consideration of the sum of Eight hundred dollars to us in hand paid by William H. Kirkham, the receipt of which we hereby acknowledged, have bargained sold and conveyed unto William H. Kirkham the following described land lying and being situate in the County of Pike and the State of Arkansas known and designed as follows, to wit: the South half of the south west quarter of section nineteen containing eighty-two acreas and sixty two one hundredths of one acrea (forty foot square being reserved including certain graves thereon). Also the West half of the North West quarter of section thirty, all in Township No. Eight, South of Range No. Twenty-three West, containing eighty acreas. And we hereby give, grant, sell, and convey unto the aforesaid Wm. H. Kirkham, his heirs and assigns, all the right, title, claim and interest that we the indersigned heirs and guardians of the minor heirs of David Mobley deceased, have in and the the above described lands and liniments, together with all the rights, priviledges, and appurtenances therunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, to have and to hold the same to the said William H. Kirkham, his heirs and assigns forever against the Lawful claims of all and every person claiming in through or by us in any manner whatsoever. Teh above granted and described premises being a part of the real Estate of which the said David Mobley, deceased, died seized and possessed. An we further hereby bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators to warrant and defend the right and title of the aforgranted premises unto the said Wm. H. Kirkham, his heirs and assigns, against all lawful claims to all and every person whatever.

In Testimony Whereof, we have hereunto set our hands and seals, this November the 17th A.D. 1860.

Be it remembered that on this 17th day of November A.D. 1860 personally came and appeared before me Booker D. Brock, and acting Justice of the Peace, in and for the County aforesaid, Barbary Mobley, William Mobley and Margaret his wife, David Mobley and Martha W. his wife, Granvill(e) w. Tarpley and Leaner his wife, S.H. Wingfield and Sarah his wife, Elijah Kelley as guardian of Ann Mariah Kelley, William Gilmer as guardian of Mira Alice Mobley, all personally well known to me as the heirs and guardians of the minor heirs of David Mobley deceased, and acknowledged that they had made and excecuted the foregoing conveyance for the purposes and considerations therein expressed and desired the same to be certified.

Hughes, Clerk of the Circuit Court and Ex-Officio Recorder within and for the said County, do hereby certify, that the forgoing instrument of writting was filed in my office for record on the 9 day of APril A.D. 18(9)6, and that the same in now duly recorded with the acknowledgements and certificates thereon in Record Book A, Pages 553 & 554 (except the former Certificate of Record).
