Will of Mary Morton

In the name of God amen I Mary Morton of the County of Caswell and State of North Carolina being of sound memory and of perfect understanding and mindful of the unsurtainty of life and that it is appointed for all once to die do make Constitute and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following that as to say and prinupally. I Commend my soul into the hands of almighty God who Gave it and my body I commit to the Earth to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner at the desertion of my Executor whom I shall hereafter nominate and appoint and as to such worldly property as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this world. I give devise and bequeath the same in manner and form following that is to say my desire first and last is that all my lawful debts be paid and then it is my will and intention that the whole of my estate real and personal Lands, and goods of every decription be fairly and Equally divided among my four children my beloved, Martin Morton, Hezekiah Morton Polley Morton, and Mary Morton Except one Bed I give my son Jacob Morton having for each of them the same feelings of natural love and affection and that this my undoubted will may be Carred completely into effect I herby nominate and appoint my dear Son Martin Morton Executor of this my last will and testament working and disannulling all and Every other will by me heretofore made declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I do hereunto set my hand and affix my Seal this _____day of march in the yer of our lord one thousand Eight hundred and Seventeen I give and bequeath two of those children Above mentioned polley morton and mary Morton one hundred dollars to each of them in cash more than my two children Martin Morton and Hezekiah Morton

The Execution of this will was duly proved in open court and before a jury who was duly sworn to try the Validity of said Will, who returned upon their oaths that they find it is the last Will of Mary Morton deceased whereupon it is ordered to be recorded
Martin Morton duly qualified to execute the same.
