DEATH OF Wm. H. BAIRD
We regret to hear of the death of Mr. Will BAIRD, which occurred a few days since at his home in Orlando, Fla. He was a former citizen of Henderson, was well known and popular, and had many friends here and elsewhere who will be pained at the news of his early demise. His sister, Miss Sadie BAIRD, writes; "I send you this, that all our friends may know how desolate God has made our hearts and home. His patience was the most wonderful I have ever seen, and the last two years of his life was (sic) beautiful, without a thought of self; he was all the world to us. We feel assured that he has gone to rest." The following is taken from the Orlando Daily Reporter of May 23rd:
The funeral services of Wm. H. BAIRD, whose death at the age of 30 years was mentioned in yesterday's Reporter, were held at the family residence at 10 am to-day, Rev. WW ELWANG of Presbyterian church offiating, and the internment was in the Orlando cemetery. The deceased was a native of North Carolina.
Some two years ago he went with his father's family to Key West, and later to Texas, but during the last few months he has lived in Orlando.

Your favor of May 7th, 1894 in re. lost deed from BAIRD's to one E.M. WALKER, received; In reply I beg to inform you that I looked the BAIRD's up and while they acknowledged that they had signed a deed to WALKER, they refused to sign another one under any consideration; their objection to signing a duplicate they say is that they fear that they might be cheated out of what they have an interst in. I found these parties very poorly off indeed. Am sorry could not obtain deed for you.
