I am trying to find some personal information regarding John Higgins who was transported to Australia as a convict and later married Jane Murphy at Emu Bay in Tasmania in 1859. Their son John Bernard Higgins marrried Mary Cowen in 1886. One of their children was Thomas James Higgins my Grandfather. He lived in Murwillumbah, NSW and married Anna Bates.
