A note in his service record dated August 29,1876 from the Adjutant
General's Office, Washington, D.C. states; Received at original
rendezvous Louisville, Ky, April 14, 1864,and sent to hospital, was
admitted to Brown General Hospital, Louisville, Ky, May 3,1864, with
Varioloid* (Vaccinated) and transferred May 5, 1864; was admitted to
Eruptive General Hospital, Louisville, Ky. with Smallpox and returned to
duty September 17, 1864.Arrived at Louisville Barracks September 17,
1864 and sent to Nashville (Tn) September 19, 1864,he arrived at Camp
Webster, at Nashville Tn, March 17, 1865. No disposition given.
Another note dated June 17, 1884 states; Application for removal of
charge of desertion has been denied.
