Ramona Caso y Nava (mother of Charles Thompson)
Charles Thompson was born Francisco Javiero Garcia-Rendueles y Caso on 8 February 1844 in Gijon, Asturias, Spain. His father was Roque Garcia Rendueles, a fisherman, and his mother was Ramona Caso y Nava. Roque died at sea. Ramona was born about 1807 and died in July 1905.
Three children were born to Roque and Ramona:
- Tomaso Garcia-Rendueles y Caso, died on 31 December 1910.
- Francisco Javiero Garcia-Rendueles y Caso, born 8 February 1844, changed his name to Charles Thompson, moved to the United States, and died on 10 May 1922 in Sherwood, Oregon. He was married to Artamissa Ellen Robbins on 22 November 1876 in Portland, Oregon.
- Petra Garcia-Rendueles y Caso, who was married to Claudio Alvarez Castro.
