William Henry Mitchell, born 15-Oct-1881 in Charleston, SC, died on 26-Apr-1938 in an accident when the walls of a building collapsed on him. As you can see by the photo, he was a policeman. He lived, married and died in Charleston, SC.

He married Jessie Irene Axson on 01-Jan-1905. Very little is known about his parents. It is believed that his father was also named William Henry Mitchell, b. 13-Oct-1843, and his mother was Susan Jane Ritts, b. 28-Jan-1852.
