McAbee (daughter of Pinkney Joseph McAbee
and Mary Ann Sprouse) |
They settled in the northwest part of Brown
County, Texas in 1878. Part of the house
is in Coleman County and part in Brown County.
Andy built this house in 1892. There is a
daisy wheel with the date of 1892. The house
is still standing and is occupied by descendants
of Elijah DeBusk, brother of Andy, today.
It is a working ranch.

of Samuel Dickson DeBusk. All of these

are descendants of Willliam Andrew
DeBusk
and Martha Ann McAbee except for the
two
below.
William Ira DeBusk is the son of John
"Dr
John" DeBusk and Sarah Eakin.
He was
a first cousin once removed of William
Andrew
DeBusk. It is said that Andy gave him
a job
and he stay for the remainder of his
life.
Joseph Campbell DeBusk is the son of John
Wesley DeBusk and Emeline Widener. He was
a first cousin of Andy DeBusk.
