Thomas Jones, 75, died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Anson General Hospital.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Clearfork Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Tarver officiating. Burial will be in Hawley Cemetery, directed by Adams - Graham Funeral Home.

Born September 27, 1933 in Jones County, Thomas was a son of the late Mose Tom and Dessie Ann (Debusk) Jones. He married Linda Newton June 5, 1959, in Anson. Thomas was a member of the Clearfork Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He worked for the Texas Department of Transportation until his retirement in 1995.

He was preceded in death by two brothers (Durwood and Shubul Jones).

Survivors include his wife, Linda Jones of Anson; two sons, Tommy Jones (and wife, Pam) of Trent and Lee Jones (and wife, Tammy) of Port Orchard, WA; one brother, Jack Jones of Lewisville; one sister, Rebecca Brown of Abilene; four granddaughters, Jayme Devaney (and husband, Jason), MacKenzie Smith (and husband, Josh), Callie Jones and Delanie Jones; and two great grandchildren, Hadon and Kasen Devaney.
