Story about the pictures on the grave marker
written by Toni Edington Hart My father since childhood always helped Granddad work cattle and they had to gather them up using horses. He started out doing this as a child of 4 or 5, spending all day out in the brush. Eventually they quit using horses, but for a long time it was a big part of Daddy's life. The barn is a drawing taken from a picture of the old Edington barn down on the Bayou. It is long gone now but it was built by my Great grandfather Luke Vaughn Edington. My mother and I chose that because we thought my father would like it. |
