Mrs. Edda SAUTERS WHITE, wife of James Dinsmore WHITE, died at 2:45 p.m. May 24, 1943, at her residence, 2*18 (6?) Scarborough road, Cleveland, Ohio.
Mrs. WHITE was born January 31, 1862 at Upper St. Clair, a suburb of Pittsburgh, the only daughter of John D. and Elizabeth ESPY SAUTERS and a sister of the late Thomas Espy SAUTERS of Martins Ferry and William D. SAUTERS of Lakewood, Ohio. She graduated from the Washington seminary with the class of 1881; and was married at the SAUTERS residence in McDonald, on April 23, 1885, to James Dinsmore WHITE, a graduate of Washington and Jefferson college with the class of 1882. She was a member of the Church of the Covenant of Cleveland.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas McCance BLACK, three grandchildren, Dorothy E. BLACK of Washington, D. C.; Mrs. John L. GOHEEN, Jr. of Mahwah, N. J., and Cpl. James D. BLACK in active military duty overseas, and a niece and nephews, one of whom, Thomas Espy SAUTERS, resides in Cleveland Heights.
