The marriage of Mr. Alexander Reed Wolfe, only son of Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Wolfe, of Claysville, and Miss Mary E. Thompson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Thompson, of Grove City, took place at Butler, Pa., Wednesday, July 30, 1908. The ceremony was performed by Rev. George Miller, pastor of the Second Presbyterian church of Butler, in the presence of a few intimate friends. An elegant dinner was served to the wedding party at the home of the bride's uncle, H.B. McKinney. They came to the groom's home Saturday evening and will remain for some weeks, expecting to take up their residence in Grove City in September. The Grove City Reporter says of them "The bride is one of our most accomplished young ladies, being a graduate of high school and a special favorite with the young social set.
The groom is also well and favorably known here, having been a student in the college football squad. This latter fact will strengthen him for the strenuous battle of life; which follows the matrimonial venture." The Numerous friends in this vicinity will voice this sentiment of the Reporter "Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe start their married life with the best wishes of a host of friends."
