Jacob Lindsey Sprowls
Jacob Lindsey Sprowls, 76, West Finley died Friday, June 6, 1952 at 10:20p.m. in the home of daughter, Mrs. Sylvia Reese, West Finley following an illness of several weeks.
He was born January 7, 1876 in East Finley Township, Washington County, a son of Simon and Jane Wise Sprowls.
April 25,1900 he was united in marriage with Minnie Henry. She died January 1, 1950.
The deceased spent his entire life in Washington County. He was a member of the Union Valley Methodist Church.
Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Melvin Sprowls, Washington;, Mrs. Sylvia Reese, West Finley, Mrs. Ree Karr, Claymont, Del; Mrs. Ruby Hughes, West Finley, Delmar Sprowls, Akron Oh.; Mrs. Daisy Harris, Washington; five sisters, Mrs. Sally Dague, Amity, Mrs. Sophie Barker, Washington, Pearl McGlumphy, Washington, Mrs. Nancy Porter, nineveh, Mrs. Essie Huffman, Graysville.
Also surviving are 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Two sons preceded him in death, Okey Sprowls, and Winson Sprowls, Two brothers and three sisters are also deceased.
