I. N. McGlumphy, 88, former resident of Greene County, died at 3PM Saturday, Cot. 28, 1944, in the homeof his daughter, Mrs. W. S. Bebout, at Roneys Point, W. Va. He had been ill several years. Mr. McGlumphy was born May 21, 1856 near Rogersville, and spent his early life in the Enon section,later moving to West Virginia. He was a son of Henry and Martha McGlumphy and the father of five children.
On Jan. 29, 1880, he married Nancy Supler, who died several years ago. Surviving are five children, Ross McGlumphy, Mrs. W. S. Bebout, and Mrs. Allen Elmer, all of Elm Grove,W. Va.; Mrs. Charles Clark, West Alexander and Howard McGlumphy of Wheeling, W. Va.; two sisters,Mrs. Flora Goodwin, of Carmichaels, and Mrs. Manta Gavin of Oil City, and one brother, GeorgeMcGlumphy, of Beech Street, Washington

Macie M. Church
Macie Marie Shrewsbury Church, 75, of Crab Orchard, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 20, 2002, in Princeton Community Hospital following a long illness.
Born May 30, 1927, at Winding Gulf, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Mattie Tolbert Shrewsbury.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Shrewsbury; and her father- and mother-in-law, Harry and Julia Church.
Mrs. Church was a homemaker. She is a member of the church of the Brethren of Crab Orchard. A 1947 graduate of Sophia High School, she was a homeroom mother at Crab Orchard Elementary School and a member of the Wednesday Morning Mothers' bowling league.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Gene H. Church of Crab Orchard; a daughter, Anita Adams, and husband Mark of Crab Orchard; three sons, Harry Church and wife Jana, Steve Church and wife Judie, both of Beckley, and Joe Church and wife Marlene of Crab Orchard; two sisters, Jane Rockel and husband Sherman of Logan and Mavis Ann Tucker of Ohio; three grandchildren, Steve Church and wife Erika, Matthew and wife Sheri, all of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Julia M. Wood of Crab Orchard; two step-granddaughters, Jessica Turner and Emily Turner of Beckley; three sisters-in-law, Judy Reed Hatcher, Peggy Cook and husband Paul, and Connie Shumate and husband J.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley with the Revs. Karl Reese and Phillip Farrington officiating. Entombment will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Beckley.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today and one hour prior to service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Nephews and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
