He was the last of three brothers and four sisters. His father died December 28, 1888, and his mother May 9, 1892. A sister, Mary Elizabeth, died at the age of 16, March 2, 1860; a brother, James M. June 20, 1917; a sister, Mrs. Isabelle E. FIFE, August 14, 1921; a sister, Mrs. Louisa E. Mr. ELLIOTT was united in marriage with Lizzie Lila PEASE of Washington, October 15, 1891. In 1903 they left the farm and moved into the residence which they built at the corner of West Lincoln avenue and Fifth street, McDonald, and they have resided here ever since.
Mr. ELLIOTT was a quiet unobtrusive citizen, a member of the First United Presbyterian church of McDonald, and a life long Democrat. He had many friends who esteemed him for his integrity and unvarying courtesy.
His wife, a son, Thomas Morgan, and a daughter, Mary, the wife of Guy a MCWREATH, all of McDonald, survive him. There are seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon in the home in charge of the Rev. S. A. MCCOLLAM. Burial was in Robinson's Run cemetery, where his parents are buried.
